One of only a handful left within the Uk, an outstanding Alfa 90 Gold clover leaf (1985) £5,450
Hollybrook Sports Cars Ltd
- Location: County Antrim, United Kingdom
Description
Professionally hand detailed, through Sureclean valeting services.
A unique opportunity for an Alfa enthusiast or private collector to purchase a cherished Alfa 90 in excellent condition, which even includes the supplying 'Glove-box briefcase'.
Designed by Bertone on a slightly modified 116 Series floorpan, the Alfa 90 arrived onto the European market in late 1984 and replaced the successful Alfetta series of cars.
It's mechanical specification was no real surprise as it used the now familiar front and rear suspension setup from the 116 Series sedan and GTV range (with modified front torsion bars from ED 84 GTV6).
Engine and gearbox, including the Isostatic gear linkage system were also sourced from previous models with the 2.5 V6 being the only version seen in Australia.
The interior however was totally different and represented a new direction in ergonomic design for Alfa Romeo.
Indeed, the publicity material from the Alfa 90's launch expressed in great detail how the interior was designed with the driver and passengers comfort of paramount importance.
Luxury features included, a steering column that is adjustable for reach as well as rake, plush velour materials used for seat and door trims, central locking, power steering, air conditioning, check control panel and a trip computer all as standard equipment.
Exterior appointments included light alloy mag wheels, electrically operated rear view mirrors and a unique self adjusting front spoiler that used air pressure to lower and raise itself: the faster the speed, the lower the spoiler.
These features when added together made up the Alfa 90 GCL (gold clover leaf) as it was known in Europe.
Viewing comes highly recommended, please ring for full information.
