ALFA ROMEO SPIDER 1993 (1993) SOLD
Description
Description: Lovely example of this classic car. This car was registered in 1993 which was the final year of production of the “graduate” style version of the Spider. I have owned this car for four years using it only for dry fair weather / weekend driving. The car has been kept garaged and under cover with much TLC. This car has only been serviced by Alfa Romeo specialists.
History: The car was originally registered in Germany, but imported to the UK by a private individual in 1997, and converted to right-hand drive. Alfa Romeo Spiders were only produced in left-hand drive, so all RHD examples will have been converted upon arrival to the UK.
Mechanical, Electrics & Instrumentation: The car is in good mechanical condition. The current MOT certificate expires in August 2013. All instruments are in working order. Italian Jaeger Speedometer is in MPH. The car has an Alpine Stereo with IPod connection. The exhaust is in good condition. There are some signs of minor oil leakage when inspecting the underside of the car. Ist gear needs looking at. Pulling away hard causes the car to jump a bit. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and reverse gears are all good. Front tyres show signs of wear and will need replacing.
Electronics for wing mirrors need to be looked at (but manual adjustment is possible). The car has had reversing sensors fitted which are in working order. Car is fitted with a Clifford Alarm.
Hood / Hard Top: The soft top is in good condition and sits tightly on car when up. There is wear on the offside rear corner of the soft top (see photo). I also have a hard top for the car which is not formally part of the sale price but can be included as part of negotiation.
Exterior: Good overall condition for a car of 20 years old (See photos). There are some minor signs of bubbling and a few minor dents in the bodywork. A minor dent to the front nose (see photo) and a minor dent in the boot lid. Black paint is in good condition, however upon close inspection, there are signs that minor paint repairs have been undertaken in the cars 20 years history. Electric aerial is in good working order.
Interior: The interior is original and in good condition. Seats and carpet are showing signs of wear and tear from age. Dashboard is in good condition. Car is fitted with a beautiful Nardi wooden steering wheel (see photo). A wind shield has also been fitted. Car comes with two sets of keys.
Documentation: Comprehensive documentation is available with the car. Receipts / bills etc for work carried out on the car and servicing. Old MOTs are available. Road tax will be extended to Oct 13.
Viewing: The car is located in Woodford, East London. Viewing is by appointment only and is possible weekday evenings or at weekends. Don’t hesitate to call me if you have any questions or want more information.
Taking all the points noted above, the advertised price reflects a 20 year old classic which is in good (not excellent) condition and which does need a bit of money spent to get up to pristine condition.
