Description
Acquired by the current owner at auction in December 2008, the car was taken to TEC Automobile of Gravesend in Kent. The proprietor of TEC – Trevor Capewell – is a friend of the owner and agreed to undertake a restoration.
The car was presented in generally poor condition but it was clear to Trevor that the chassis and sills had previously been restored to a high standard. Invoice records of the work carried out by Aston specialists, Wren Classics, confirmed the quality of that restoration work.
When the second phase of restoration was started, the car was found to be wired to positive earth that was changed to negative and because the owner indicated that he wanted to use the car in his homeland of Greece, it was essential to up grade the cooling systems.
Comprehensively restored with paintwork completed by Four Ways Engineering and with upgrades like electronic power steering, this car is presented in outstanding order in an ideal colour combination. Enthusiasts will note one unusual aspect of the car is the grille – the owner preferred the DB4 grille to the standard fitment and Four Ways obliged!
Since the car has been finished, it’s been in storage. The client has driven the car couple of times, at most an hour at a time.
