Description
Price now reduced to £14k for a quick sale
The car in the pictures IS the car for sale!
It's a first generation quattro turbo with the digital dash, 10v engine, leather interior - the only thing thats changed inside are some of the mats, the car radio and security system (they were notoriously easy to steal OEM).
So what have I done with it since I bought it in spring 2011?
Mechanically it's had all new hoses to replace the frayed original ones, the clutch has been replaced 11 months ago along with the hydraulic clutch pedal system which was taken out, overhauled re-greased etc. The electricals have been overhauled, everything electrical is now working fine. All four brake calipers were replaced along with new pads.
Bodywork wise the car was t-boned just after i first got it, whilst it wasn't written off at all there was an extensive professional restoration done - the vehicle wasn't categorised by the insurance in any way.
The Damaged driverside door, sill, D-pillar and rear quarter were all replaced. In this process we found some rust holes which were replaced. The front fenders on each side were replaced along with the rear wing. There was a complete respray done. This work was carried out by AM quattro in Ilminster - a well regarded quattro specialist. I've got loads of pics from the restoration if anyone is interested.
Price wise I can't find anything out there with this low miles - i've got a ton of old MOT certs and history going back 30 years so i'm pretty certain the mileage is genuine. I think £15k to pistonheads members is reasonable, I have put a LOT more than that into the car in the past couple of years. I've heard from others that this car is only set to go up in value.
You can see from the professional photographs I look after my cars. If anyone needs to talk to a mechanic who has worked on it Stevie at EM Developments is on is on 07850 450 573 and did a write up of the vehicle with pics here http://emdevelopments.com/?p=368
Shame to see it go really but I know anyone who would be interested in this will take good care of it - it's not a car that a boy racer would buy.
I'm Dave and my number is 07592 086678 if anyone is interested give me a buzz - i don't bite.
