This 1958 XK started life as a 3.4 Automatic DHC.It has had a fully photographic body-off chassis rebuild which took just over 12 months to complete. The Engine was rebuilt and uprated to 3.8 'S' specification with Fast Road Cams, Stainless Steel 6 branch Exhaust Manifold, Unleaded & ported 'C Type' Cylinder Head, blueprinted Oil Pump, balanced and lightened Flywheel, continuous Timing Chain, Competition Clutch and a new Five Speed ‘Getrag’ Gearbox. Other upgrades included ‘Coopercraft’ 4 Pot Calliper Disc Brakes, new Suspension bushes, New Wiring loom, Power Steering, Limited Slip Differential, Oil Cooler & a Kenlowe electric cooling Fan. All invoices are available for this work and the history file includes a Jaguar Heritage Certificate showing its original specification and matching numbers. The total investment at that time is over £125,000. The car was painted in its original colour scheme of Carmine Red with a Biscuit Leather interior, Black Mohair Soft Top, 'S' badges and Chrome Wire Wheels.
The end result of all the meticulous works carried out on this car is a truly magnificent looking XK and the driving experience is second to none.
