Description
The car on sale today is a simply fabulous racer in Semi-Lightweight form, having been built by West Riding Jaguar a marque-specialist of great repute whose reputation is based on the many outright victories and class-wins in historic racing by cars prepared in their state-of-the –art preparation facility. Based on a 1965 tub with outer panels in aluminium, including the complete bonnet, doors, rear wings and boot lid, the car sports the distinctive Works-style hardtop, which is constructed in lightweight fibreglass. The stunning Briggs Cunningham Le Mans livery is period correct and evocative of the inspiring visual heritage of the great racers of the day. The full-race engine is of a proven 3.8-litre steel block with wet-sump lubrication running Weber 45 DCOE carburettors. Cooling system uses an aluminium radiator and header tank, all FIA-specification race fuel cell and tubular exhaust manifolds into a free-flow exhaust system. Almost needless to say is that the car comes with the very best in safety equipment – all to current FIA-specification and date.
This immaculately presented and superbly detailed car is a credit to the fastidious work of West Riding Jaguar.
