1971 was the final year of production for the fabulous 6-cylinder Jaguar E-Type, distinguished by the black “leaping cat” badges to the both sides of the rear of the bonnet. Ours is striking in white with black leather, carpets, convertible top and boot and is a car which we purchased from its local (Tewksbury) owner in early 1993 and sold, then with 70,378 miles, to another local enthusiast. We have just obtained the car back from that owner of 20 years during which time he drove the car fewer than 4,000 miles. E-Types were offered with chrome wire wheels, power steering and factory air conditioning—as as optional equipment—and this car was ordered with all three. A very handsome, great-driving car which has been driven just 73,739 miles.
