LOTUS ELISE 111R Touring (2006)

A lovely, low-mileage example of the sought-after Elise 111R, finished in Canyon Red metallic which is completely standard, apart from a subtle, Lotus Sports Exhaust.  This is the Revised 2006 model with the drive-by-wire throttle and improved brake feel.
The car has been kept garaged on a trickle-charger when not in use, by both myself and the previous owner (since 2010)   Included with the car are a history folder with detailed receipts to back-up the stamps in the service book (8 stamps), Certificate of Conformity from Lotus and both sets of keys.  Also included is an Elemental shower cap and carry case and the trickle-charger if required.
The most recent service was done at the same time as the MOT in May 2016 and included :
- New brake pads all round (Mintex 1144)
- 2 x Front Yokohama Advan Neova AD07
- Gearbox oil change (RED LINE Synthetic MT90)
- Oil change and filter (Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40)
- Brake fluid change (Castrol React Dot 4)
I have owned an Elise of one sort or another for the the last 15 years, including an S1 Sport 135, an S1 Honda, VX220 Turbo and a Europa - but this is by far the best 'all rounder' and has been completely reliable.  I bought the car in August 2015, but I've known it for much longer as I bought it from a friend who owned the car since 2010 and we've done many trips together in the cars.  The car has 4 previous owners.
I'd describe the condition as very good.  The paint is lovely - very similar to Ruby Red on the original Series 1 Elise.  However, it's a low, plastic sports car - so it has picked up a few stone-chips and other marks over the years.  I've listed these below :
- Passenger rear alloy wheel has some surface curbing.  The others are all in good condition, but it would make sense for all 4 to be refurbished at the same time.
- Stone chips on the front (no more than any other Elise - but they are there)
- Bottom of the drivers door skin was cracked and repaired in 2012. You need to look closely, but to my eye the paint was not blended very well and there's a visible line.
- Central door locking is currently out of action.  It's a relatively simple fix, but the required part (A116M6048F) has been on back order with Lotus for several months.
Apart from the above mentioned (mainly cosmetic) issues, it really is a lovely car.  It's getting hard to find straight, original, low-mileage cars like this now.  I've priced the car to sell according to the time of year, but if there's no immediate interest then I will pop her back in the garage, address the minor cosmetic points over the winter months and relist in spring - at a revised price.  Who knows, the central-locking module might even be in stock by then !
