LOTUS ELISE S2 Race/Track car (2002)

Well known and competitive lotus cup production class car, with several podiums.  Newly refurbshed, and resprayed ready for 2017 . I purchased this car with 11k miles on it from Bell and Coleville (I am the 2nd owner) and used it on the road for many years, finally using it on track and sprints, before converting it to a race car for the end of the 2009 series. It was the class of the field during the 2009 LOT sprint series taking 1st place in all events that year. It was on the LOTRDC podium in March 2010 at brands indy and again at the end of that year then again at brands for the 9 hour endurance races in 2010 and 2011 where it finished 3rd and 2nd in class, competing at race pace for 4 hours on track with no issues at all.

In 2012 it has had three top 10 finishes in what has become an extremely strong field.  It did not compete in 2013 until the end of the year, but did the whole of the 2014 season.   After the 2014 season, it needed a refresh, which was completed at a slow pace over 2015 and 2016.  I was preparing the car ready for the 2017 LCUK season.  I have had a tremendous amount of fun with this car, taking it on several french frolics with LOT, several SELOC runs plus the experience of racing it.  It would make a strong LCUK race car and would be equally at home just as a trackday car.

This is a very reluctant sale, we are moving abroad with work for a few years.   If I dont get a sufficiently good price, she will go into storage for my time abroad and will be refurbished ready to race when I return to the UK.
Engine specification.
k series, 285 cams, custom exhaust manifold, tubular back box, ported VVC head, verniers, built and balanced by Hellier performance.  The engine has just been refreshed (££) and is barely run in.  Develops in the region of 170bhp at the hubs (at TDI) and is pulled back to the series regulations.  The timing on the engine is custom.  The power delivery is smooth (unlike many of the race cars)

It is road registered - currently SORN
I have a spare front clam, 2 spare rears and several partial clam moulds i made for repairs, which can be included in the sale.
Suitable trailer also available by separate negotiation.
The car is cabable of being run to the series minimum weight requirements.
The car was originally converted to a race car some years ago after it had been my daily driver, i did several races per season in it until 2014 when I did the full season.  Its a competitive car in the right hands (i.e. not me), instructors have managed to get it to go quite fast indeed.  Its best finishes were in the 9 hour endurance races, and at the brands hatch rounds when it was on the podium a few times.
I would encourage any serious buyer to come and view the car.  It is located near fleet in hampshire.
I am open to sensible offers, particularly for someone willing to deal quickly.
Part exchange:no chance
