There are fewer and fewer of these cars becoming available worldwide as collectors and enthusiasts snap them up. Out of 2,274 Turbo’s built worldwide there are purported to be only around 300 left in the UK. As such, finding a nice one can be tricky at the best of times. The original Giorgetto Guigiaro designed cars are therefore quite sort after. This is one of these cars.

To coin a phrase, this one has to be seen to be appreciated. Finished in stunning Calypso red with full, hand made, Sahara leather sports upholstery and as new beige carpet and overmats. Air conditioning. Electric windows. Kenwod sound system. Full, tiltable and removable glass panoramic roof section and colour coded BBS alloys, this is a really eye catching classic Lotus in every respect.

The unique Lotus Turbo exhaust note is georgeous, as the Garrett T3 turbo kicks in producing 210BHP and giving a thrilling 0-60 time of 6.1 seconds. Lotus, however are best known for handling. This  truly feels like it’s on rails and would put many modern cars to shame.

Complete with history folder of servicing and repair invoices, previous Mot’s and cherished car valuation certificates. A thorough mechanical overhaul was carried out only 2,000 miles ago. Having covered a total of 97,000 miles from new with only a few thousand miles use in recent years. Anyone would be happy to display this car at any show or club event.
