The 300SEL was especially well-appointed as befits a top of the range Mercedes, featuring burled walnut dashboards, automatic transmission and power windows. The 3.5 litre (NB not 6.3) V8 powerplant was sophisticated and advanced for its time. This example has been well looked after, as its condition implies. Performance is quiet and effortless, and handling is in the sports car class. New whitewall tyres have just been fitted. The interior is a delight with sumptuous dark red leather seats, fully adjustable in front, and red carpets. Rear legroom is generous.
