Description
A truly exceptional example of the PB variant. Produced between 1934 and 1936 using the updated 938 cc, 43HP overhead camshaft crossflow engine used in the earlier J Type Midget, Morris Minor and Wolsley 10. Supplied new on 19th June 1935 by MG dealers A Smart & Frank Scott of Newcastle upon Tyne to Wing Commander C.L. Gunn. Full photgraphic nut and bolt restoration carried out with huge attention to detail. Still retains her original engine 819APB, and original Northumberland registration JR4895. Complete with factory handbook, spare parts list and buff log book. Only used in dry weather since restoration, with exception to a recent magazine article carried out in the Norwegian Classic Car publication."Bil Klassikere" Complete with period Brooklands aero screens, and sidescreens made this one of the most desirable sports cars of the day. This was the car to be seen pulling up outside the local "Bull and Bush", especially if you happened to be a RAF figher pliot of this era! This example drives superbly tight through all transmission changes, whilst maintaining excellent temperatures and oil pressure. Very desirable being 1 of only 526 produced, opposed to the more common PA with around 2000 models built. A great investment for her new owner, offering many years of enjoyment with minimum expenditure required to keep her up to this superb standard.
