1955 MG TF1500
02/1955 A matching numbers UK original 1500, very late example
A beautifully restored MG TF1500 in classic green sage green with cream leather and hood and rebuilt to run on unleaded fuel
4 speed manual,
Sympathetically restored in 2008 and has only covered approx. 1000 miles since
Odometer reads 57000 miles which we understand from the history of the car is genuine, but this cannot be warranted. The car comes complete with a large history file.
The car was also fitted with a new Mohair hood in 2008, as well as new shock absorbers, works the the carb, addition of a sports coil, replacement water pump, re-cored radiator, hi-torq starter motor, stainless exhaust, new battery and rev counter overhaul to name but a small amount of the overhaul content.
More significant overhaul works included a rebuild gearbox and engine, including new pistons, camshafts & followers, rocker shaft, ground crank, new bearings and also a lead free conversion.
A Photographic rebuild and concise history and original log book add to what is a very complete and usable example of this fine British sports car.
Eligible for an array of classic tours and rally's and gatherings adds to the fun and potential for this great car.
For sale sadly, due to a recent bereavement.
