Porsche 964 Cup / Trophy - Interesting History (1990) £149,995

In stock now is this superb Porsche 964 Trophy / Carrera Cup car. The car was manufactured in 1989 and delivered from Porsche Motorsport to customers in February 1990 and was one of the first batch of 34 cars produced from the total of fourty-nine Cup cars built that year. It is thought that less than 20 examples remain in original condition.
Chassis number 007 is believed to have been driven by Olaf Manthey as part of his Porsche Carrera Cup winning campaign in Germany in 1990. During the 1990 championship season Manthey raced three different 964s and this is is likely to be the one he ran at the start of the year then rented out in July for the 24 Hours at Spa Francorchamps and driven by Dorr/Hardy/Raes for the RAS Sport team. It unfortunately did not finish the race after becoming involved in an accident with Guy Renard driving a Toyota Corolla GT. The car then disappeared from public view into a private collection until it was sold a few years ago.
Since coming out of retirement the car has had racing wounds repaired to the highest standards with both rear quarters, boot floor and front panel replaced with new genuine RS parts. The full exterior, engine bay, boot aperture and floorpan have been repainted to exact Cup specifications (photos are available). The original suspension, brakes and engine are still fitted and the car has done a very very low mileage (13,914 kilometres, just 8645 miles) as reflected by the light patina of the untouched interior panelwork.
Being owned and run by an Austrian team the car was never issued with a Wagenpass. It does however have a Letter of Origin from Porsche Cars GB. The car is UK road registered, repainted in its correct Signal (Viper) green and has the original single seat as it befitting an original Cup Car.
A fantastic example with an interesting history, ready to race, use for trackdays or just as part of a collection.

We start off by picking the best cars for stock, of the 3 or 4 cars we get offered every day we buy only the best one or two a month.
Upon sale each and every car is taken to our workshops where it goes through our thorough 74 point check to make sure everything works as it should and is in good condition. Next the car is given a major service and the service book stamped accordingly. We carry out a 4 wheel alignment on the cars and an aircon service on cars with airconditioning. The car will then go to a local independent MOT station for a year’s MOT. We tax the car for a year and fill the fuel tank.
Next the cars go to our team of professional detailers who spend up to a week preparing the car cosmetically. Any stonechips are removed, the wheels refurbed if necessary and the wheel hubs are painted. The seats are removed and cleaned. Next the car is detailed using Zymol professional products to give a long lasting lustre.
Finally, and arguably most importantly, we warranty every car for a year from bumper to bumper, anywhere in the world. This is not a bought in warranty, we stand by each and every car we sell for a year.
We believe we are the only Porsche specialist in the UK to offer a service like this.
