ROLLS ROYCE 20/25 1934 (1934) £159,000
Vintage & Prestige Automobiles Ltd.
- Location: Essex, , United Kingdom
Description
1934 Rolls Royce 20/25 HJ Mulliner 3 postion DHC.
Chassis number GWE67.
Registration number BLM789
Simply one of the prettiest 20/25 bodies I have had the pleasure of handling.
A stunning restoration to world class standards. This car was restored by the renowned Frawley Company in Pennsylvania with the brief being to create a Pebble Beach winner without regards to expense. Some $260,000 perfection was achieved.
Under the current ownership for the last 6 years, the car is being sold due to the advancing age of the current owner who has used it sparingly during his tenure.
The Black paintwork is flawless & to a standard we do not often see. The bonnet tops are mirror like with not a ripple or blemish to be seen. Hand applied red pin lines to the bonnet louvres & wheel discs contrast beautifully with the deep black background.
To the interior is red leather again in superb order. The wood work has been restored to a perfect finish & is of the highest quality. The Burr walnut door cappings are bordered round the edges by a satinwood band, which itself is separated from the Walnut by a fine pewter insert line.
The boot contains a full tool kit in the fold out portion of the lid which also doubles as an additional luggage carrier. All large tools are also present & correct. The engine bay is beautifully detailed, correct & to show standards. The car two years ago won the 20 ghost club concours prize; no mean feat in itself as competition is stiff!
The car features prominently on a double page spread in Nick Walkers authoritative tome on 20/25 & 25/30 cars; pages 96 & 97. It also appears on the sept/oct 94 edition of the flying lady having just won a major prize, the best pre war car, at the national meeting.
The car is available for immediate viewings by appointment. The owner will not accept less then full asking price & respectfully requests people not inquire unless they are prepared to meet this.
