Offered for sale is my extremely unique, facelift, 1998 TVR Chimaera. This exceptional vehicle is not only supplied with an impecable service portfolio but also with a fantastic selection of well chosen upgrades to enhance the performance and appearance of this truly one off Chimaera.

The vehicle has just been professionally detailed by www.invisibletouchdetailing.co.uk within all areas to give the new owner a showroom example to be proud of and enjoy as much as i have, with our upcoming summer weather. A one off, British, 2 seater soft top sports car, with a soundtrack only TVR can do, especially with the modified exhaust system fitted, this vehicle demands attention where ever it goes!

Finished in British Racing Green with a black soft top which is carbon fibre on the inside. Upgraded complementing style, anthracite alloys fitted with very good Toyo tyres and a rare, at huge expense, Speed Six front wing conversion that looks factory fitted. A black leather interior and dash, with Alpine headunit, complimented by upgraded aluminum dash surround, handbrake, gearstick, gauge surrounds, control bezels and heater vents make this an extremely comfortable and pleasant interior to drive in.

Keeping the vehicle glued to the road with extremely comfortable yet firm and precise handling, are a set of upgraded GAZ Gold adjustable shocks front and rear. Further transforming this exceptional setup, all suspension components have been professionally calibrated by Tony at Wheels In Motion to offer a real drivers experience. The tyres are Toyo T1R's and are all in very good condition.

The braking system, with silver calipers has seen upgraded discs and pads fitted at the front and also braided hoses front and rear. Which are also all in very good condition.

Originally this Chimaera was the 4.0L variant. However, in 2003 at approx 20k miles, to further enhance its performance and to create a very rare and unique vehicle, again at huge expense, TVR Peninsula removed the engine and replaced it with a 4.6L, including MC1 cam kit, clutch cover, plate and release bearing.

In 2009, the body of the vehicle was removed and an outrigger replacement was completed, again at huge expense. This forms part of essential work, required to keep the chassis in top mechanical condition.

The vehicle's only faults: the heater fan does not work and is a common issue to either the wiring of the control unit or the unit itself. Hot and cold air however are still adjustable via the controls and still comes into the car. The passenger door occasionally does not open from the outside via the solenoid in the wing mirror, but is fine from the inside.

I have the original TVR handbook and huge portfolio showing documented parts, servicing, invoices and previous MOT's. The vehicle was last serviced 1000 miles ago, as per the manufacturers service schedule. This service included replacement Oil Filter, Synthetic Premium Oil, Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Spark Plugs, Anti Freeze and Inhibitor, Sump Gasket Replacement and Drive shaft Gaitor Kits totalling just under £800. All portfolio documentation is in excess of £25,000


As you can see this really is a complete one off, extremly well maintained and cherished vehicle, with no expense spared by all mature owners.
