Description
TVR Griffith 500 HC 1997 Cooper Racing Green, 62000 miles.
Car was withdrawn from sale in February while it was serviced and prepared for sale.
Outstanding Griffith owned since 2005, four owners including myself. Reluctant sale due to a knee injury. Full service history and a comprehensive documented record including the original owners handbook and every MOT certificate. The car has been maintained regardless of cost and there are receipts to evidence this, covering parts, services and sundries.
It is a fantastic car to drive, the engine is in excellent condition, serviced in February 2013 and most recent rolling road showed 288.5 BHP and 297.2 lbs (on 95 ron.) see photos. In addition to regular maintenance the car has had sensible upgrades:
Magnacor HT leads
Tuscan seats
Nitron coil over suspension
Steve Heath drop links
ACT Silicone hoses
ACT induction pipes
K&N air filter
Leven alloy dash, petrol & oil caps
Surrey Folding Roof & bag
New rear hood section & plastic window
Number plate G444 TVR included in sale (rough valuation based on similar plate for sale by DVLA £1400). Also included in the sale are original seats (good condition), original Dash (delaminated in places) and original Targa top (with new ‘hood’ material – still in packaging) and Car Pyjamas (waterproof and breathable) car cover.
Recent work on the car has included having the chassis checked and waxoyled, replacing nearside front upper and lower wishbones and re-coring the radiator.
The body work is sound with no crazing or cracks to the fibreglass, it is not a trailer queen, it a car to be driven and as such has the usual stone chips.
