Maybe we can revive this poor dying thread by going back to the  days when Triumph put real interesting cars together, like the light blue  TR20 DHC 2 seater ( op's sorry occasional 4 seater) in the front of this line-up

Triumph Dolomite, one of two very like anAlfa Romeo 8CAnd a strangely aluring late 30s waterfall grill Triumph Dolomite 8, I snapped back in the 80s, of which a clone of,led to the demise of a character in Blythe Spirit, played by Rex Harrison. the last type to bear the name.

The red Triumph looks cracking. The rally Sprint is a waste. Should be unsullied, pure, original.

Is this a rubbish Triumph ? ,or is it  Modified Triumph ?,  or is it a classic Triumph ? or is it a special promotional  Triumph ?.What should I do with this vehicle ? .I know !! start a new thread for custom  cars & sport/show /drag  bikes , all show / go and chrome ,We could call it :- "Flamin-hell ". Give the  artists a chance to  shine and show their skills !

Tricky one to answer. As in most things it is so subjective on whether the above Triumph is a classic, special promo etc etc. Clearly you like to give them the 'Frankenstein' treatment and soup them up, with either a nose job, face-lift or the full monty. However, from a very personal point of view, my tastes are rather staid (some would say boring). But I like a classic to be restored in its traditional form, always have and will, otherwise they look like mutton dressed as lamb.

Let me reiterate: This is a very personal take on classic cars and is not representative of other classic owners.
