Unless you find a way to stop his continous posts, whether as swordfish, Fergal O'Fish, borismobile, speedangel, Horris Motors, petrolhead, diplomat, mrtotty or even GBt (or any others I have overlooked), you have once and for all lost control.

Granted, a couple of the names you mentioned could be GBt, but you can't just add anyone you happen to fall out with to your list. It's so utterly pathetic. Just leave this forum. It was all running smoothly until you came back. Seriously, you're not wanted or needed here. Leave us alone!

My absolute final post until I see something done about it !

Your choice

Do you really think anyone is threatened by that. We all want you gone. I hope this is your 'absolute final post'. You're getting boring and ruining the forum for the rest of us. Please just go away. For good this time.

All predictable stuff from Gav.

I know I said that yesterday's post would be my last, and indeed, I have always found the best way to deal with the so-called 'petrolhead' was to ignore him, (and I certainly will from now on) but does it not strike anyone else reading this as strange that he only ever surfaced originally when GBt was being criticised for his behaviour.

Then he only ever posted derogatory remarks aimed at me. Then, (and how is this for coincidence?) he disappears for a while, same time as I called a rest, only to reappear three months later when - guess what? Yep, when I had dared to criticise GBt and his mutliple identities.

Well read into that what you like, I don't really care any more which aliases are creations of GBt, obviously there are many, but I will be happy to let those in charge decide.

Petrolhead has NEVER contributed to any other post on here, nothing of any use regarding classic and sports cars, only remarks either propping up some dubious behaviour by GBt, or aimed at me. And each time he does, it just gets a couple of degrees more obvious.

A computer savvy nerd friend of mine told me a few months ago that it would be quite easy to plant a macro virus on this very UNsecure site that would change the word 'petrol' wherever it appeared to 'dick'. I declined the offer at the time as I did not want to drop James and co in the pooh by sabotaging their forum, but who knows, if things are not sorted out soon it may be worth a laugh to do it anyway.

I still stand by my original post at the top of page one, and still believe that until the spammers and the multiple aliases of GBt are dealt with this forum is going nowhere.

If and when this is sorted I may be back with more car related stuff. I may even be able to talk some others into coming back too. But if it is to be just a match of "who said what and when" and playground sniping "he is not wanted" then yes, I am only too happy to leave it to the 'petrolheads' of this world.

Is that what is wanted?

Chris M.

If you think we are the same person, then so be it. What some dullard in Australia thinks really doesn't bother me.

And I don't really care whether you think I've contributed anything towards this forum. Because you've contributed worse than nothing. Whenever you reappear, you turn it sour. It's either about your problems at home, problems with other members or problems with the forum itself. And when it's not any of those, you're just rude and arrogant.

You did say it would be your last, but we've heard that all a thousand times before. And if ignoring me is easy, then why post yet another essay.

You clearly have some cool friends. Does he play Yu-Gi-Oh? He also seems to share your juvenile sense of humour. The fact that you find the word "dick" so funny explains a lot. You and your troll friend have a lot in common.

If you say so. Everyone else is happy with it, so stop bombarding it with your self-righteous crap. Just leave us alone and join a better forum.

Don't be surprised. You are clearly trying to provoke a reaction.

I hope that's the last time I see that on here. You contribute nothing to this forum. You make it worse. You have a go at everyone. You have a go at the forum in general. You just complain, and I for one am sick of it. Just leave us alone. You have said several times that you will leave. Just do it for good this time. Go back to your rusty Tin Lizzie, your nerdy troll friend, your wife and your dog. Presuming they're not the same thing. Feel free to edit that last sentence out, James!

Goodbye. For good this time.

Goodbye. For good this time.

Sorry James, but it had to be done. My previous private email was not answered, which is why I decided to make this argument public. This way it is said and can't be unsaid. But I stand by my comments.

As for 'petrolhead', I admit I was hoping he would creep out of the woodwork one more time to demonstrate the quality of his posts on here now.

Give 'em enough rope etc.

And he has delivered in spades this time.

I should apologise for playing agent provocateur with the 'change petrol to dick' joke, but it was too good to pass up.

Nevertheless, you now see what type of posts this person is capable of even if you were not reading his similar tirades of last year. Never posted anything to do with cars, either classic or sports, but miraculously appears whenever GBt is being criticised. Whether it is another creation of Gavin or not no longer really matters, he has shown his true colours. One can only assume he is coming on here with the intention of looking for an argument. He does not know me, or anything about me, yet loads his insults with personal remarks and worse, some aimed at my family. Why would anyone do that? Why, if one has no personal contact? I have no personal knowledge of him either, and for that reason I can not take his remarks too seriously, and cetainly not worth me getting angry over, although I would expect forum moderators to draw the line somewhere. But once again, every sentence and phrase has been constructed to contain (he hopes) maximum insulting impact. Nothing about cars, and nothing constructive to help the forum; except "we like it the way it is" etc. Well then, who is we, and what is to like? Point proven again.

For the sake of the wellbeing of the forum, we can guess it is rather the playful banter of one who only goes online to engage in argument for the sake of it. Which brings me back to my original point, is this the sort of rubbish C&SC wishes to encourage to populate this forum? Oh yes, and then when he has really had a good go at being Mr Angry, he then realises it may look a bit extreme and comes back with a half-hearted car based remark as if to justify his interest in the forum, see the latest meaningless effort regarding "there maybe some models in the loft but I can't upload photos" type post in the sacle models thread, a couple of hours later. That again is the normal behaviour pattern for the member.

For a brief while last year, there were a healthy number of contributors who were regularly posting interesting reports about all things classic and sports car. GBt was even around too, but without getting too up himself and for the most part, fitting in ok, or at least not rocking the boat too much. It seems that as he got more active, and created more identities, the regulars dropped off, one by one, and you now have a forum much as I predicted to you back then; if it is allowed to dumb down to that level, not only will the useful contributors go away, but any casual lookers who may drop by will see a load of childish drivel and decide it is not worth hanging around.

For my part, I repeat yet again for the benefit of those that can not read, I did NOT have a go at GBt in any way. If the user generally known as Gav and posting as GBt wants to continue his own brand of humour, so be it, I have no complaints. If however, that same user wishes to continue to post other comments, usually similar to, in support of, or congratulatory to, previous posts of GBt by using other names I will again remind him and any or all moderators that this is against the rules and while it may only be annoying to me, it is confusing to newer members, and has even driven others off completely. For the forum to continue to grow and reach out to classic car enthusiasts worldwide it needs a major service, not just filter and plugs and a dust down with an oily rag either. There are ways and means to regulate spammers, and those who would use the forum for their own ends by using multiple identities.

For now, I am content to ignore any further taunts from the expected sources, I reckon he has said all he has to say and any further posts will be just going over more of the same, but with added venom.

Again, I repeat, Sorry James if this has dragged on a bit, certainly more than I intended also, but if by drawing out the predicted repsonses from those above I have served a useful purpose then I am quite happy to be the one who gets called names.

Hope this helps,

Chris M.

Yet another drivel-filled essay. I can't be bothered to read it, but I know it's drivel-filled. It always is. I'll bet it goes on about how I am trying to trick everyone into thinking I am not GBt, how I contribute nothing and how I'm the definition of 'evil'. Then it will have a bit about himself and how he is the friendly victim with a little sob story. I've heard it all before.

Now go and troll elsewhere. Are you actually going to leave for us, Chris? Since you came back (again), this forum has been back-pedalling. Please go away and let it make some progress.

Ok Russell, here is where your hard work starts.

I have contacted James several times in the past to little avail, but I can well understand why he has better things to worry about than the well-being of the C&SC forum, so maybe this is as good a place as any to start, and see exactly what has been going on in the past. It is not hard to recognise the pattern, and should be a warning to how it could go again if allowed to. As I told James E. a while ago, once "The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum" and they become the majority, this is what happens.

There were other similar threads that went the same way, and gradually since last year, we have lost one by one several contributors who did have something useful to say, and the ratio of intelligent, interesting, posts related to classic and sports cars against idiotic rants and jibes went too far to the negative side.

I suppose you have been brought on board to correct that, if so, I wish you well.

Regards,

Chris M.
