Hello and sorry if that has been discussed, but I can't find anything with the search feature.

Does anyone here know a place online to order a good quality classic driving scarf?  Like a good quality lambswool/cashmere type scarf.  I'm looking specifically for something in BRG, and ideally with a gold stripe- classic Lotus livery.  It's getting cold and I need to bundle up behind the wheel!

Any thoughts would be much appreciated and thanks in advance!

If this is a genuine enquiry there are many specialist dealers in motoring apparel such as you ask for who advertise in C&SC - probably best to start there, most will have websites to browse, but failing that get on the phone.

Or, if this is just another of those fake enquiries that turn up occasionally as an invite for someone who is in (coincidentally) exactly that line of business to set up an answer, therefore hoping for a free plug - don't bother, spam gets deleted pretty quickly around here !

Well, sorry, it wasn't meant to come off as spammy, I'm just looking for a scarf.  I read through the last issue of CSC and didn't see any advertisers who looked like they had what I'm looking for.  I could have just missed it.  I'm happy to support any retailers who advertise in CSC, so any links or suggestions would be much appreciated.  I have had no luck in my own searches.  Thank you.

I didn't mean to accuse you of spamming, just that there are many that do, ask a question and then post an answer just to advertise their own goods.

So, if no C&SC advertisers can help, try a bit of lateral thinking.  I am not sure what you mean by green and gold being Lotus colours, but they certainly always were the corporate colours of Harrods, so why not start there?  Then there is House Of Cashmere in Burlington Arcade W.1.  Or do maybe Lotus sell their own branded accessories?  Or Club Lotus, if that is still going?

Failing all of those, you may just have to settle for green....

good luck.

Surprised you have found nothing suitable in C&SC. Though advertisers aren't alway in every issue it seems...

In adddition to what Chris suggests, perhaps a browse through the directory of services on this site might help? http://www.classicandsportscar.com/directory/parts-and-services/accessories-automobilia
