Modified Classics...
To improve the wieght distribution the battery got transfered to the trunk and an isolater switch was installed to comply with regulations for competition. All the lights, wipers ,horns etc were made to function so that the car was actually road legal. It was fun to creep out quietly on a Saturday night to seek out one of the local street races and blow a few BMW doors off !!
Fresh catch
The car from a nation wide famous restaurant owner " O Barbas" (the beard man). He is famous by his love to Benfica Football Club
(We dont discuss tastes here but...)

Tried to post a photo of the rear end of the MG midget but it does not want to happen, so i will try again untill it pops- up
The process of inserting images (photos)on this site really sucks, sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. , even when it does the end result is often unsatisfactory with the positioning of the image breaking into and disarranging the test, leaving single words isolated from the main body of the sentence. A good picture is worth a thousand words but no words are likely to be printed if I cannot display a suitable image . Firstly :- How does one achieve a display of the comment+image prior to pressing the " Add comment" key ? so that the presentation can be previewed. I have spent the last two days attempting to sort this problem with no success so it is no small wonder that traffic is light on this site. Please take the time to rewrite the image posting instructions in great detail, (facts for duffers !)
here goes for another try at pictures, think I might get it now .Back end of the MG Midget V8 racer
Refering to a previous post on strange mini specials, I had an extremely rare model, one of only three manufactured . This is the "coxford" hatchback (did you ever see a mk1 hatchback) .This was back in late the sixties, so wether it still exists is unknown but you never know what barn-finds will come up with,so here's hoping. From memory I do believe that the mechanicals were Mini-Cooper 1098 spec .
while on the subject of Mini specials. Here is a little rare
Austin-seven special that i had back in the seventies for a short while, just long enough to turn up at Curborough (Staffs) sprint track where someone offered me a price I could not refuse.
