Aw, give us a clue. It looks a bit Austin around the radiator, but LHD and with what look like Connecticut plates?

Yes, you're right with the Connecticut licence plates; it's a 1914 Saxon. 1440cc 4-cylinder light car, built in Detroit 1914-17ish.

Thanks. I guess in terms of the American market at the time a 1440cc 4 would be considered a light car too. Mention Saxon and I think of an eighties hairy heavy metal group. Suppose I should get out more.

An airborne Opel? Don't know about the month, there are still a few days to go, but I'll give that picture of the week!

Saxon is a new maker's name to me; I'm guessing they did not export to the UK?

 

rolymo-  what year did you take these photos? Looks like 70s maybe.

 

Here is a Lotus Cortina at Oulton Park last Saturday, doing a passable impression of Jim Clark/Graham Hill at the same venue.
