Spotted: classic cars on the road
Spotted these days at Oporto area...
I dont know if a classic spotted on the road but sharing a trailer with more modern cars fits in the DUSIE specifications for this topic, but I take the risk...
No problem with the trailer, it is still on the road after all, but which one is the classic?
Nuno I had a Renault 10, for four years and it was a comfy, reliable, very economical -and being as family were in the trade, I got it at Glasses guide trade price- which was not full sticker or top dollar, dealers normally charged.
Nice to see what looks like a Modded Renault 8 in great condition, for those of who live in the real world and can maybe only dream of ,excotica. but know these are the affordable way to enjoy a hobbyist pastime. That said your Pegasso model had me getting my books out again, and one simply called Fast Cars, which has a suitable chapter on that fabulous Spanish Mark-I remember seeing one on the Silver screen in a film called The Adventurers, I believe, in which a Mercedes SL, Austin Healey and maybe XK Jag, were racing over a mountanous pass, however it was a long time back.
And here is red one...
Excellent and the Gordini 1300 was nye on as fast as a Lotus Cortina in its day. I want one!
Spotted at Lisbon on the way to surfing...
After some miles we both stop at teh smae beach and have a nice chat about cars.
Few miles away mint GOLF GTI MK1...
Saw a beautiful mustard-coloured Vanden Plas 1300 being driven through my village in Kent by an old lady yesterday.
The car appeared to be in showroom condition and looked to be an everyday driver.
Dropped a car off for an MoT this morning (fingers crossed) so walked the last couple of miles into work. Spotted this trio on the way.
Very nice Jag MK2 in central Luxembourg, March 2012
A chap in my village in Kent has a 1968 Citroen DS Safari as his everyday car. He's either an artist or an antique dealer and needs the space, so one of the church wardens at my village church who lives next door to him tells me.
As the car is parked behind his residence in a converted brewery about 500m from my home, I might leave a note under his windscreen wiper asking permission to photograph it.
