Spotted: classic cars on the road
Jomag (João);
Thanks for filling one of the (many many) gaps in my car culture.
Mario,
Thanks for sharing, probably the Morgan driver get so much fun that he forgot the weather, abs etc.
To Jomag(João) and Mario, living in the south of europe have it's own bad issues ( debt crisis and so on) but the winters are more classic car friendly as as illustrated by this picture taken yesterday during the Lisbon's meeting. My MkII Scirocco with Jomag (João) ADO16 on a LIsbon sunny morning during the Lisbon meeting...

2 weeks ago in Helsinki waiting at a traffic light whilst I was waiting for a tram:

Oh and this I found in 2011 in Wrowclaw Poland:

Spotted today in South West London.

Nice spots, love the "Fiatbaru".
Some fresh catch spotted this week at Oporto...
A Mercedes Pagoda...

A Ford Cortina MkII GT that looks like in good original condition...

The Cortina onwer is very keen of information...

A Renault 10 for sale at the roadside...

And a VW Golf GTi MkI, spotted at the pump station. I just stop for refueling on my blue Scirocco MkII (on the back) meet the Golf owner on the spot and stay one hour chatting about cars . The owner is a young enthusiast who use it daily, he is a bike mechanic and with the exception of metal work and paintjob, he do all the restauration and maintenance work...

That Pagoda looks beautiful
Maybe this should be in the "when did you last see one of those?" thread. Vauxhall Viva HC (I think) estate in South Harting today.

Reminds me of the old days in the 'trade'.
I was running a garage in London in the early '80s and for some reason I still remember a rep' from Quinton Hazell showing me a list of figures they had compiled to help manage stock levels of parts, and at that time they had a survey showing that 33 Vauxhall Vivas went to the scrapper every day.
Bet there are not many around now.
I wonder what happened to Mum's white P reg Firenza...............

Oh wow! That, I believe, is a 3.0 CS Auto (assuming its the same one). I remember it was for sale at a little garage in Barnes back in 1998/9 for £4,300. As an 18 year old, I was convinced I was going to find the money to buy it. Sadly never did. What a car!
Always wanted one of these and this one looked like sheer class in South West London last night.

Well I am not surprised that a fan of the seventies angular Lotus models likes this too. I always had a liking for the GT4 but for many years it remained the bargain Ferrari, although I suspect it is now old enough to be regarded as classic and collectable. For my taste this Bertone design (and the more common Pininfarina 308/328 models) were the last 'pretty' Ferraris and given the excesses of more recent designs they are looking more attractive every day - especially in a colour other than red!
