Yes it certainly looked different from a Ghia, GL or S with that extra chrome and unique wheel trims. Maybe not quite as pointy as a Corsair, but of time one person will see something another might not have seen

I wrote something about an XR4 V8 before and saw a Cologne engined one the very same day, they are rare now-a bit MaxPower boy racered but pristine in black.I got stopped by a police one us going to crew for a mate in a Sunbeam TI, on the Sherwood Forest Stages, whilst doing a little more than was permissable , and surprisingly the law lads could see through the mist(and shards of rust and dust flaking off the ferous oxide and white rust wings.

This guy*if anyone knows his whereabouts it would be nice to get back in contact with Chris Donne, I co drove for, as well as another mate I did a rally with, in his RS 2000, were on board in that GLX Ford and assumed the XR4i crew were gonna throw the provernbial book in this one's direction. It was at the time of the miners strike and we were heading for Worksop in a typical flying pickets type transport-when asked to show one's licence pulled my credit card out inadvertantly, and the good cop lookes at the bad cop and they both laughed, sorry sir we dont take that one, followed by a producer-7 days to show documents and advised to take care/ to drive safely. Good ol Boys..

Oh yes PP I saw a nice stag today with the top down in light drizzle, nice one.

Oooo, I've gone a lighter shade of green. A convertable Stag... in the drizzle? That's car porn. Jeeze, what a saddo I am.

Me too, I cut out a picture of a Tiumph 2000 and stuck it on my bedroom wall after it was featured in a motorshow special mag around 1963-you could forget your excotica when that Michelotti baby came out...
