The art of automotive typography

| 4 Apr 2016

From the looping calligraphy of a pre-war Alfa Romeo and the Art Deco brilliance of Desoto to the no-nonsense block capitals of 1990s Peugeots, the typography of car badges has echoed the changing tastes of design for more than 100 years. It’s a fascination that has led Berlin-based editor and typographer Stephen Coles to create a website dedicated to collecting and collating some of the most interesting finds from his travels. Whether mundane or exotic, the images found on www.chromeography.com are sure to keep you entertained for hours.

We’re sure you’ll have your own contributions to make to the project!
