2-seater sports.

A sensation in 1946 with its waterfall grille and (then) staggering standing-start acceleration, thanks to a weight of under 22cwt. Engine, gearbox, and most other mechanics are Ford; if you wanted more power, you fitted the 3.9-litre Mercury. Brakes are hydraulic, and open cars always had floor change. Short-chassis J1 looks similar, but is more of a competition model, and uses modified 3.9-litre Mercury engine.
