ARMSTRONG SIDDELEY LANCASTER 16/18HP
6-light saloon.
A stylistic sensation of 1945: 18hp engine gradually standardised from 1949. Available with a Rootes-built four-speed synchromesh 'box, although the traditional Wilson preselector suits the car better (but watch repair costs!). Torsion-bar front suspension and hydro-mechanical brakes. Not much performance, but gentlemanly road manners.
