2-door or 4-door saloon/4-door estate.
Rootes' ultra-conventional small/medium design, badged as Hillman for first six years. Very basic engineering, with MacPherson strut front end. More sporty versions were GT and (combined with plusher trim) GLS. Spawned shorter-wheelbase Sunbeam hatchback for 1978, and was itself rebadged as a Talbot for 1980.
