Underslung frames, underslung worm rear axles and coil-spring ifs help the handling, as do forward-mounted engine and longer wheelbase, but the easy-cleans are a trifle non-U for a Daimler. Post-war type 21/2-litre 66bhp engine for 1939, but the 1946-50 type is better looking and will have seen less wear.
