Poor man's straight-eight and nearly as big, especially the 150in wheelbase DH27 made for Daimler Hire. Unlike pre-war heavies, these have coil spring ifs, hydromech brakes and (thank goodness) detachable cylinder heads. Too ponderous for the enthusiast, but the ambulance version may still be a parts source. Most bodied as limousines.
