Second generation Violet, with smart, angular and totally anonymous styling, on same underpan and suspension as Type 710. Now with latest short-stroke 1.4-litre engine as standard. 1.8-litre version (180J, strictly) with Bluebird engine not sold in Britain. These cars replaced in Nissan/Datsun line-up by early 1980s Stanza types, with front-wheel drive.
