FIAT 124 COUPE

2-door 4-seater sports coupé.

Sleek, amazingly successful Fiat styled coupé on standard 124 saloon underpan and suspension. 90bhp/1438cc at first with 102mph top speed, 110bhp/1608cc from end '69, at which point a smoothed'out four headlamps nose was adopted. Same basic 'chassis' and twin'cma engines as spider (below). Almost all had five-speed gearbox (some four-speeders, especially in native Italy). Evolved into final version with new-generation engines in 1972.
