FIAT 124 SPIDER (1972-82)

2-door 2+2 seater sports car.

Long-running Pininfarina-styled car with stretched twin-cam engines for 1973. 1.6-litre only for first year, and 2.0-litre unit introduced for 1979 model. All cars with same basic two-headlamp style, though trim slowly upgraded. Automatic option (to suit USA) on 2.0-litre, and turbocharged option (USA only) in 1981-82. Became Pininfarina-badged and built 'Spider Europa' from 1982.
