OT meant Omologato Tourismo, meaning it was approved for production car racing. Tuned engine of 44bhp (similar to Fiat's own coupé tune), but 53bhp on some cars. Front discs on most, rear discs (for big money!) on race cars. As above, it would have been a good joke without Mini-Cooper competition, but not sold widely in Britain.
