2-door 4-seater saloon.
German-built boy racer saloon to replace original UK Mexico, this one with 1.6-litre overhead-cam Pinto engine and 95bhp. Also used as basis for RS1800 and mechanically close to RS2000 Mk2 (below). Not a big seller, overshadowed in late seventies by rs2000 MKII. Perhaps 100-105mph top speed.
