2-door 4-seater hardtop/fastback coupé/convertible.
Fourth type of Mustang, now longer, wider, lower and heavier than before, on longer (109ins) wheelbase. Boss up-gunned to 5.7-litres from 5-litres, but car was past its best, as all Pony car sales plunged. Replaced after three years by smaller Mustang II.
