HRG 1500 (1946-56)

Sports 2-seater.

1100 with bigger, c.61bhp Singer unit - again much revised, and giving 80-plus mph. (Earlier models had 4ED Meadows engines and magneto ignition). Superb steering and early thirties looks are ample reward for a harsh ride. Last 12 cars (WS series, 1953 on) have fractionally larger SM engine, ultimately unmodified by HRG, plus hypoid axle and hydraulic brakes.
