Work it out for yourselves - shortest-yet (102ins) wheelbase version of XJ6/XJ12 with same floorpan/suspension and fuel injected 285bhp V12 engine. A few fitted with manual transmission. Strange coupé style, with rear quarter sail panels, part Sayer/part Lyons. Cramped for four people, doubtful build quality, but 155mph all out. HE version of mid-1981 onwards is better-liked. Not an E-type successor. Original type joined by cabriolet, convertible and six-cylinder engines during the 1980s.
