JAGUAR XJ6 2.8/3.4/4.2 SERIES II

4-door 5-seater saloon.

Second generation of XJ six-cylinder saloons, with same basic style and ageing XK engines. Higher front bumper, squatter grille, revised facia, and other equipment changes. 2.8s only for export in first year, and 3.4 introduced from spring 1975. Longer wheelbase shell always available on 4.2s, standardised from 1975, but no short-wheelbase 3.4s and only 12.146 SWB 4.2s. Still a great car, but reputation in the USA was faling persistently through the years.
