Superlative refining of previous Jaguar thinking, with particularly well-conceived MkX-derived suspension incorporating anti-dive geometry. Powered rack steering, four-speed manual 'box with optional (but generally specified) overdrive - or auto 'box. Small-engined 2.8 is rare, and suffered from overheating troubles; go for the 4.2. Still an impressive motor car, but good examples are thin on the ground.
