6-light saloon.
Modern, slab-sided, rather ponderous creation, originally as 14hp with torsion-bar ifs and hydromech brakes. 2 1/2-litre 95bhp version (1949) had riley performance if not Riley looks, also known as Mk VII saloon. Hydraulic brakes from 1952. Alloy body still prone to structural cracks.
