Last of a complicated line dating back to 1936, with hydraulic brakes, swing-axle rear suspension, and traditional styling (exposed headlamps, side-opening bonnet). One of the first Mercedes to be imported post-war. Slow and heavy, but indestructible, especially the SD diesel variant.
