UK Granada-sized car, on US Ford Granada platform of 110ins wheelbase, very conventional suspension and rigid rear axle. Choice of 'six' or V8 engines, and more up-market trim and equipment than the US Granada, but still with same basic sharp-edged style. Replaced the old Comet, and was the right, smaller size for Detroit's post-energy crisis customers. Most, naturally, with automatic transmission, all sold well in USA, but nearly unknown here.
