An attempt to provide a Jeep-type device. Failed because of imposition of tax, lack of four-wheel drive, and - above all - restricted ground clearance. Now a Mini-cult, and of late successfully made in Portugal following many years of manufacture in Australia, after British lines stopped in '68. Production split Britain/Australia/Portugal (to end 1992) is 14,518/26,142/9277.
