BMC influence moves in with the Austin A30 power unit (albeit with SU carburettor) in a Minor hull. Four-doors go ohv SII from late '52, but other models still with flathead engines until early 1953. More speed and better acceleration, but painfully undergeared and the 1000 is preferable.
