Unusual shape with swivel-up headlamps and Kamm tail - built on Kadett floorpan, with French-made bodywork. Usually with 90bhp five-bearing Rekord engine, giving 105-110mph; budget 1100cc version (1968-70) not sold in UK. Automatic available, but no rhd - and little luggage room either. 1971-73 GT/J is stripped-out 1900 variant. Collectable and rare - 80,000 went to the States.
