2-door 6-seater coupé/hardtop coupé/convertible.

Completely revised version of Pontiac's 'muscle car', not nearly as distinctive as the earlier cars though still enormously powerful, with 360bhp and more. Most were coupés, for convertibles were very rare. 'The Judge' was the most extreme and flamboyant of all. Conventional mid-sized GM separate chassis, sharing 122in wheelbase and frame with several other cars; front discs and power-everything helped a lot, and most had automatic transmission. From end '71 only sold as an option package on Le Mans models. In UK, only officially sold to '71.
