Engine was enlarged, giving an extra five horsepower, wheelbase extended by 5ins to 117ins, and there was a new centre-point steering set-up. '38 cars have a more rounded looking grille with wider chrome plate bars, while a column mounted change for the three speed synchro 'box became an optional extra.
