RELIANT SCIMITAR GTE (TYPE SE6)

2-door 4-seater hatchback sporting estate.

For 1976, Reliant did a 'hot-cross-bun' job on the GTE, splitting the moulds to make it longer in the wheelbase by 4ins, and width by 3ins. Recognisably similar styling, but a new chassis and somehow softer character. Still made to early 1985, though since 1982 sold with German 2.8-litre Ford engine and with a convertible option.
